How Do I Add Industrial Marketing to My Google Console Account?

Adding Industrial Marketing to your Google Console account is easy and allows us to access data for your site.

What is Google Console?

Google Console is helps you measure your site's search traffic and performance, giving valuable data for content optimization such as top keywords and pages, countries searchers are from, and devices they used. It also gets your content indexed with Google through sitemap submission so your URLs can be crawled. You can also gain insight into how Google sees your pages (and if they can!).

Permissions for Google Console

From Google:

• Owner: Has full control over properties in Search Console. Owners can add and remove other users, configure settings, view all data, and use all tools. A property must have at least one verified owner, or no users will have access to the property. There are two types of owners, both have the same permissions:
  • Verified owner: Someone who verified ownership of the property using a token to prove ownership (such as an HTML file uploaded to the website). To add or remove a verified owner, you must add or remove a token on the site.
  • Delegated owner: Someone granted ownership status by a verified owner without the use of a verification token (such as an HTML file or tag). To add or remove a delegated owner, an owner of any type simply adds or removes the new owner using the Search Console user management screen.
• Full user: Has view rights to all data and can take some actions.
• Restricted user: Has simple view rights on most data.
• Associate: Associates are people or accounts that can take certain actions on behalf of your site, or access certain data. Unlike site owners and users, associates can't open or view your Search Console account or data directly but they are authorized to perform other tasks. The actions and permissions vary depending on the type of association (for example, Chrome Web store).

To add a new user or delegated owner

You must be a property owner (or an owner of a parent property) to add or remove another user.

1. Choose a property in Search Console.
2. Click the Settings icon  in the navigation pane.
3. Click Users & permissions.
4. Click Add user
   1. Enter the Google Account name (seoptiks@gmail.com) of the new user. ⚠️Users must have a Google Account, and email groups cannot be added as a user or owner.
   2. Choose the permission level (Owner) to grant the user
   3. Save your changes.

Change Permission for an Existing User

Requirements:

• You must be an owner to be able to change permissions of another user.
• You can change permissions for any non-verified owner.

1. Open the Users and Permissions page for your property.
2. Next to the user that you want to modify, select a different permission level.
3. The change should take effect very quickly.
